Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress is a former model. She is known for co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the main singer for the group of girls Apollonia 6. The group was just one of the female artists who benefited from Prince's association in the late 1980s. The actress was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her work began as a model and actress in the latter part of the 1970s with a role on the tv program CHiPS. The female lead of Prince's Purple Rain was her first performance that she played in the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name during this time. She replaced Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 for her role in the film in the role of Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity.
